Christina Ossler
Christina Ossler, 100,
of Augusta, died Nov. 12, 2006, in her home following a short
illness.
Born Apr. 26, 1906, in
Wellsville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma (Hiner)
Kinsey.
She was a teacher at
Augusta School for 31 years, a member of Stillfork Presbyterian
Church, Eastern Star, Augusta Chapter 412, and a life member of the
Carroll County Historical Society.
She is survived by two
sons, Thomas W. (Helenann) Ossler of Orlando, FL, and John "Jack" E.
(Pat) Ossler of Augusta; daughter-in-law, Arry Ossler; brother,
William Kinsey of Minerva; two sisters, Evelyn Kinsey and Emma
Rhodes, both of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren
and 31 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her husband of 65 years, Ellwyn (Bill) Ossler, who died in
1989; son, Bill Ossler; brothers, Thomas, Lafayette and George
Kinsey; sisters, Pauline Brown, Mary Turnipseed, Dorothy Locke;
grandson, Jack "Denny" Ossler; great-granddaughter, Jessica Ossler,
and great-grandson, Dwaine Ames.
Funeral services will
be held this Thursday, at 11 a.m. at Stillfork Presbyterian Church
in Augusta with Rev. James Rice and Rev. Virginia Birks
officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours
will be held this Wednesday 6-9 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home in
Minerva, and one hour before services at the church. Eastern Star
Services will be held at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at Bartley Funeral
Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Stillfork Presbyterian
