LARGE FUNERAL

About 35 local Odd Fellows attended the funeral of Mr. and Mrs. George McMillen, East-tp, who were buried Sunday at Augusta.  Mr. McMillen was a member of the local lodge, having transferred his membership to it from the Augusta lodge after the latter had surrendered its charter following the destruction of the lodge hall by fire.

It was one of the largest funerals ever held in the county.  It is stated on authority that 1,400 people were present and that it required 52 minutes for those in attendance to pass the caskets of Mr. and Mrs. McMillen, showing the high esteem in which they were held by those who had the pleasure of their acquaintance.
