LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
STEPHEN MANFULL 1803-1838
I Stephen Manfull
of the County of Carroll in the State of Ohio, do make and publish
this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
1st I give devise and bequeath to my beloved
wife, Maryanne, all of my real and personal property in trade or
otherwise – as long as she remains my widow. She however first
disposing of a sufficiency thereof to pay my just debts and that at
the marriage or death of my said wife all the property hereby
devised or bequeathed to her—as aforesaid or—so much thereof as may
then remain unexpended to my four daughters, Mary Jane, Rebecca,
Elisabeth Anne and Frances, and to my son Christopher Columbus and
to their heirs and assigns forever.
And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Maryanne and
my father—Stephen Manfull to be the executors for this my last will
and testament –revoking and annulling all former wills by me made
and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will
and testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 5th
day October, AD1838.

his last will and testament in presence of us who at his request
have signed as witnesses to the same.

State of Ohio, Carroll County, SS: Court of Com. Pleas Oct 7,
1838.
The last will and testament of Stephen Manfull Junior, Deceased was
brought into court –the two subscribing witnesses thereto being
sworn, depose and say that they saw the Testator sign said will –
that they signed said Will, as witnesses, in the presence and at the
request of the Testator – that the Testator, when he signed said
will, was of sound mind and memory—of lawful age, and not under any
restraint.
Thereupon, the same is appended and ordered to be recorded, with the
proof taken.
