MIRIAM MANFULL, 81
 

Miriam M. Manfull (Brooks) 81, of Elyria, died February 20, 2005, at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain following a long illness.

She was born in Carrollton, OH, the daughter of the late F. C. and Lena (Mikesell) Brooks.  She had been a Grafton resident since 1956.

Miriam was a graduate of Mount Union College, and received her master’s degree in Library Science from Kent State University.

She was an elementary school teacher in Elyria, and retired as head librarian from Amherst High School in 1989.  She served as an elder and was an active member of Washington Avenue Christian Church in Elyria.

She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Conrad of Amherst; a son, Gregory of Grafton; and brothers, Joseph of Bellefountaine and Gilbert of Carrollton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1977, a son, Raymond in 1978.

Funeral services were held February 23, 2005, in the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Rd. in Elyria.  Graveside services will be held February 24, 2005, at Augusta Cemetery in Augusta.
