LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
JAMES MANFULL 1803-1838
Abt. June 21, 1809-October 23, 1885


IN THE NAME OF THE BELOVED FATHER OF ALL:  AMEN.

I, JAMES MANFULL of the Township of Augusta, County of Carroll, and State of Ohio, being about seventy-five years of age and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, DO MAKE PUBLISH AND DECLARE THIS MY LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, hereby revoking and making null and void all other Last Wills and Testaments by me made heretofore:

FIRST:  My will is, that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out of my Estate, as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.

SECOND:  I give, devise and bequeath to my son, HOMER MANFULL, the farm on which I now live containing about 160 acres of land, subject to certain conditions hereinafter mentioned.

THIRD:  I give to my wife in lieu of her dower in my real estate Three Hundred Dollars per year during her life, which sum per year I make a lien upon the land devised to my son, Homer, and my wife is to remain in the dwelling house where she now lives during her life.

FOURTH:  All my personal estate except as hereinafter provided that I have at my decease, I will and bequeath the one half thereof to my son, Frank, and my son, William, in equal shares.  The remaining half of said personal property, I will and bequeath to my son, Homer Manfull.

FIFTH:  Having heretofore paid to my daughters, Mary A. Hause and Sarah Curry, each the sum of $600.00 which is to be in full of their share of my estate except the household and kitchen furniture which I will to them equally after the decease of my wife, which household and kitchen furniture is to be in full of their share of my estate.

SIXTH:  I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my son, Frank Manfull, Executor of this my last will and testament, and I desire and direct that no inventory or appraisement or bond be required of my Executor, and that the court of Probate direct the omission of the same in pursuance of the statute.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have set my hand to this my LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, at Carrollton, Ohio, this Sixth day of August, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighth Four.

The foregoing Instrument was signed by the said
James Manfull in our presence, and by him PUBLISHED AND DECLARED as and for his LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, and at his request, and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, we hereunto subscribe our Names as ATTTESTING WITNESSES at Carrollton, Ohio, this Sixth day of August, A. D. 1884.

The LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of JAMES MANFULL, DECEASED was filed for Probate October 30, 1885; Recorded No. 4, 1885 In Record of Wills No. G, Page 345.  James Holder, Probate Judge.

The APPLICATION TO PROBATE WILL indicates the following persons as all of the next of kin of JAMES MANFULL:who died October 22, 1885.

William Manfull of Augusta, Carroll, Ohio, Son
Mary Ann Hause of Littleton, Colorado, Daughter
Sarah Curry of Augusta, Carroll, Ohio, Daughter
Frank Manfull of Augusta, Carroll, Ohio, Son
Homer Manfull of Augusta, Carroll, Ohio, Son

The Application was signed by Frank Manfull on October 30, 1885.
