Louise H. Long
Louise H. Long, 95, of Minerva, died Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Bel
Air Senior Care Center in Alliance, following an interval of
declining health. Louise was born in Buena Vista, VA on October 29,
1911, the daughter of the late Edward V. and Lottie P. (Smith)
Hendel. She had been a resident of Minerva since 1945. She was
active in AARP, Minerva Garden Club, Minerva Women's Club and was a
Girl Scout leader. She is survived by daughter, Cheryl (Ken Mozden)
Long of Louisville, stepdaughter, Joan Wickersham of Minerva;
sister, Virginia L. Davis of Nitro, WV; four stepgrandchildren; a
number of nieces and nephews and Scarlet the Cat. She is preceded in
death by her husband, Roy G. Long in 1976 and two sisters and three
brothers. Funeral Services will be held at the Bartley Funeral Home,
Minerva, Ohio, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2007 with Rev.
Joe Peters officiating. Friends are also invited to call Wednesday
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Augusta
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County
