Donald D. Long
Donald D. Long, 68, of Grayville, IL, died Monday, April 21,
2008 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL. Donald was born
in Kensington, OH on March 24, 1940, the son of the late Jessie
Wayne and Donna (Turnipseed) Long. Donald was a retired steel mill
worker. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist
Church of Grayville. He enjoyed horses, coon hunting, farming,
boating and working in his mechanic shop. Donald is survived by his
wife, Sandra Long of Grayville, IL, sons, Donald Long, Jr. and his
wife, Sandy of Navarre, OH, Ronald Long and his wife, Lisa, Tom Long
and his wife, Tami, all of Carrollton, James Long and his wife, Mary
of Negley, OH; step-son, Jarrod Wyke and his wife, Nichole of
Levitsville, OH; step-daughters, Stacey Walter and her husband, Shad
and Kelly Spruell of Grayville; brother, Thomas Carl Long and his
wife, Teresa of Sebring, OH; 22 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a
brother, Corwin Long, and a sister, June Burley. Funeral Services
will be held at Bartley Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April
26, 2008 with Rev. Chet Howes officiating. Burial will be in Augusta
Cemetery, Augusta, OH. Friends are invited to call Friday, April 25,
from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends unable to attend may
