Lanning
Jack R. Lanning, age 76, of Kensington, passed away
Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Aultman hospital surrounded by
his loving family. He was born December 16th, 1931 in
Willoughby, Ohio. He lived most of his life in the Augusta,
Ohio area. He had retired from Transue and Williams Steel
Forging Co. in Alliance and prior to that had worked several
years at Lifetime China Co. in Alliance. Jack was an active
member of the Augusta Christian Church, he was an avid
hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed working in his
garden. He is preceded in death by his parents Aaron and
Iris (Locke) Lanning. Survivors include his wife Rosa Lee
(Butler) Lanning, two daughters; Cindy (Charles) Kirby of
Naples, FL, Robin (Joe) Sutton of Kensington, OH.
Grandchildren; Jason (Ginny) Kirby, Juston (McKenzie) Kirby,
Jovan (Katie) Sutton and Joelene (Andy) Tetoff. Great
Grandchildren; Alexus Kirby, Dakota Kirby and Trent Tetoff.
Sisters; Phyllis Wingert, Joan (James) Ford both of Minerva
and a brother Gary (Jenny) Lanning of Canton. Funeral
services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2008 in
the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Tim
Brace officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. till
9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorial
donations may be made to the Augusta Christian Church,
Augusta, Ohio.
