LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
JACKSON LAFFERTY
DATED: October 9, 1893
Date of Death: December 19, 1904
Will Filed: January 14. 1905
IN THE NAME OF THE BENEVOLENT FATHER OF ALL:
I, JACKSON LAFFFERTY of Augusta Township, Carroll Co, Ohio, do make
and publish this my Last Will and Testament.
ITEM FIRST: It is my will that all my just debts and charges be
paid out of my estate.
ITEM SECOND: All that remains of my personal and real estate, I do
will and bequeath to my beloved wife, MARY JANE LAFFERTY, to have
and to hold as long as she remains my widow.
ITEM THIRD: At the death of my wife, whatever remains of my estate,
I give and bequeath to the CHURCH OF CHRIST (KNOWN AS THE CHRISTIAN
OR DISCIPLE CHURCH) OF AUGUSTA, CARROLL CO., OHIO, to be invested in
some safe way, and the interest of the same to be used to pay for
preaching in the aforesaid Church.
ITEM FOURTH: In case the aforesaid Church becomes extinct, I give
and bequeath the aforesaid estate to the OHIO CHRISTIAN MISSIONARY
SOCIETY.
I do hereby revoke all former wills made by me.
In testimony hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth
day of October Eighteen Hundred and Ninety Three (Oct. 9th,
1893).
Signed and acknowledged by JACKSON LAFFERTY as his Last Will and
Testament in our presence and signed by us in his presence.
