Joan L. Ford

Joan L. Ford, age 76, of Minerva died Saturday, March 27, 2010, in her home. Born Nov. 13, 1933, in Augusta, she was a daughter of Jim and Idean (Locke) Lanning.

She was a housewife and member of the Faith Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rev. Dr. James S. Ford, who she married June 21, 1957; three daughters, Janice (Ray) Wilks of Alliance, Carla (Jim) McCully of Malvern and Julie (Tom) Walker of Minerva; three sons, Joe Enoch, Tim Ford and Jamie (Keli) Ford, all of Minerva; a sister, Phyllis Wingert of Minerva; a brother, Gary (Jenny) Lanning of N. Canton; a sister-in-law, Rose Lanning of Augusta; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Enoch; and a brother Jack Lanning.

Funeral services were held March 30 in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Chet Howes officiating. Burial was in Augusta Cemetery. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice, Morning Star Oncology and Rev. Tim Kanda for all their care and words of encouragement.
