It is not known if Sarah Baxter Cox is actually buried
in the Augusta Cemetery. At this time we can find no
information that she is buried anywhere else. Her husband,
son, brother, and at least two sisters are buried in the Augusta
Cemetery so the likelihood is high that she might also be buried
here in an unmarked grave.
Sarah's oldest child, William H. Cox, died in 1869 and is buried at
Quaker Ridge Cemetery. It is also possible she could be buried
there. But until we find out otherwise, we will assume she is
buried in the Augusta Cemetery and honor her here.
Her husband, Jacob Cox, is buried in the Augusta Cemetery in an
unmarked grave. We will assume they are both buried in Section
A, Row 17, near their son, Emerson Cox. Another highly likely
possibility is that Sarah is buried near her brother, David Baxter,
in Section B, Row 1.
